Miami Vice: I'm A Fiend For Mojitos

I do not need a reason to celebrate anything, simply because I have a mojito in my hand, other than the fact that I have a mojito-in my hand.

Quite fabulous
Pure beauty and poetry - truly one of the best songs ever written...and I only discovered it last week 😢😮
My last assignment before I retired was actually in Hiroshima. I sat in the Garden of Remembrance and cried listening to this song. The Japanese people ( as throughout the stay) were the most gracious people you could ever wish to meet.
After Fox left well I was not interested in the band anymore 😮
So sad to hear Chris Cross’s bass on this 😢
R.I.P Chris😥
Will always love Ultravox.
Quite possibly the very first synthpop record
Most of these views are me. Also, that comment from 14 yrs ago, also me.
I think this song would have had a greater impact if it said, meeting Sheila by the door.
A tribute to possibly the most pretentious film, ever.
The tension in the intro still gives me goosebumps now in 2023 as it did in 1978/9 Saw them at Grangemouth Town Hall in Scotland ! Support band none other than Simple Minds ( who came back and headlined a coyple of weeks later ) ! Jon Foxx, thanks for the memories. 😂😂
INCREDIBLE performance of one of the few greatest songs of the 20th century. 🌹
Pioneers, ground breakers, never hear anything like this again
My favorite version
Love this version
Asmr
Miss the sax on the studio version
the Dogs bollocks
Love it!
Timeless and epic. This record stands alone. 🏔
Foxxy, so cool....
Someone had been studying Roxy Music
❤
Back when music was raw and real.
While mk2 were good.. They were never this good
LUSHNESS!
It was 2002 when I recorded this version on my first mp3 from RUclips (precisely 27/12/02, I think that video was removed since this is 14 y/o). I'm very affectionate, even if it's poor quality, and sometimes I go to listen to that instead of this because it's even more nostalgic somehow. As if I was really there. Something I will always miss because I was born too late and someday I will die without having seen John Foxx live. I saw Midge Ure in Florence last October and I cried like a baby, but this. THIS. Ultravox were always with me since I was a toddler and to this day are still my favorite band.
I can remember recording this from ogwt, absolute class.
Top class Professional Music!
WOW I love this song of the best times
JOHN FOXX and BILLY CURRIE what more could you need, both sublime in their craft.
BAD ASS 👍👍
An absolute classic, still have this on the live retro ep.
I remember seeing this on the Old Grey Whistle Test when first broadcast. I remember being really impressed and bought "Systems of Romance". The album version of Hiroshima Mon Amour on "Ha! ha! ha!" was not as good as this. This live version reflected where their sound had developed by then. I did not see them live until the "Vienna" tour. Not the same then, but better than they became as they continued with Midge Ure.
I love the melody of this song. In my personal case, it activates chemicals in my nervous system producing an explosion of dopamine, endorphins and oxytocin... all at the same time... as in the case of the songs "Sinful Passion", "SOS d'un terrien en detresse", etc., etc. by Dimash Kudaibergen for example... I love songs that really stimulate MY brain, no matter the language...

Before they where ruined by Midge Ure
It's now 2022 and the world is in crisis (nuclear war). My God what has become of humanity. As a race we are still so primitive. We have gone backwards, not forwards. Intelligent songs like this (1977) are so deep and a meaningful reminder of the past. John Foxx is a person in touch with humanity, unlike most of his peers and wrote intelligent and creative songs. He himself an artistic musician and songwriter and in the music industry he deserves a lot more recognition. Please search for Ultravox, John Foxx. Abums then did need to be listened to several times, but by the time you had listened to them three or more times you did not want to stop listening to them. John Foxx, influenced by Kraftwerk, was the godfather of post electronic music to Gary Numan and a vast amount of 80's bands
Heard it before BUT not like this -Live on Tv ? its quite different
buena!!
This fucking sucks. Second rate talent at best.
A bit mad but good
Yes it's nnice
I agree the sound of the future
the wisdom of great forfahers for the generations to come.
If I won the lottery I would pay £1million to put this band back together for one gig
Numeri 1 👍💗
This is simply a track of pure beauty. It's been with me since '77. "How can I ever let it go" 🧡 Ultravox!
Me too. A fantastic track off a brilliant album. I still play it a lot.
@@hawkpaul8735I think that we're on the same page Paul. "Ultravox!" "Ha Ha Ha" and "Systems of Romance" are never far away from my turntable 🧡
Preistoria technotrancepsychodanceprogressive. E forse non basta!
The first ever New Wave song
